Representatives from TenderCare, Family Connection and WellCare recently met to discuss upcoming plans for the Back 2 School Bash on Saturday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

TenderCare and WellCare have joined forces this year to be two of the major sponsors of the event which provides free school supplies to students in Greene County. Also sponsoring the event are Greene County Family Connection and JayRay Trucking.

At this year's event, WellCare and TenderCare will be providing information and program demonstrations on obesity prevention. Both TenderCare and Wellcare have a mission of helping families get healthier.  This community event will be an excellent platform to give adults and children the tools to get fit and healthy.

Community vendors are encouraged to come and set up booths in downtown Greensboro to distribute school supplies at the Saturday event. To sign up for a vendor booth, contact Targie Folds at 706-453-5128. For the first time at the event, which is in its fifth year, a children's area will be set up with activities for the kids.

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. provides managed care services targeted to government-sponsored health care programs, focusing on Medicaid and Medicare.  WellCare Georgia serves individuals and families who are eligible for Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids and offers a variety of health plans for families, children, and the aged, blind and disabled, as well as prescription drug plans.

TenderCare has health facilities in Greensboro and at Lake Oconee. TenderCare's state-of-the-art facility in Greensboro provides preschool, medical, dental, health education and pharmacy services.
